Why does Word keep crashing?

Hello all,

My computer, stable in all other operations, from gaming to internet to any
other software, becomes incredibly unstable while I use any of the Office
2003 products, specifically Word and Excel. I have attempted to repair the
install with the available tool, and then have uninstalled and reinstalled. I
have used both the supplied CD with service pack one on it, and have used a
downloaded version of SP1 for the install.

Specifically, when attempting a page set up, or print preview, the program
stops responding and must be closed. This happens immediately after start up,
as well as after my computer has been on for many hours.

Has anyone else found this to be the case with their software, and if so,
how has it been resolved, if it has?

Problems with Page Setup and Print Preview point to a problem with your
printer. Make sure you have a printer installed and selected as the Windows
default; the printer does not have to be physically attached to the
computer, but the driver must be installed locally. If all these conditions
are correct, try deleting and reinstalling the printer, perhaps using an
updated driver if one is available from the manufacturer's Web site.

Based on what your saying I can gather a couple of things. Either a problem
with the printer driver as Suzanne rightly pointed out, or maybe some
corruption that may have crept in.
