Hi,
When launching Word (Office 2003 prof edition) I always get a flash screen
(liitle dialogue box actually) indicating that Windows intaller is preparing
to install something. It goes away but then the system just sits there,
disk chugging for at least a minute or two before finally launching Word. I
also notices that the icons on my desktop redraw a couple of times during
this pregnant pause with leads me to believe that it really is installing
something EVERY time I try to start Word.
Does anyone know what this could be caused by? And how to fix it?
(I've tried repairing Office, and also re-installing Office but nothing seem
to change this behavior)
Thanks,
Gary
