Why does Word2007 keep disappearing from my program list?

When I go to the start menu and then to .....all programs ........Microsoft
Office....all the other programs in the suite are there, but Word has
disappeared. I know it's still there because I can still open existing Word
documents, I just can't start a new one because I cannot find the program!
This has happened twice now. In order to make it work, I have to delete the
suite from the computer and then reload it. What a pain! Any help anybody?

Create your own shortcut and put it on the desktop or the Quick Launch bar.
Use Windows Search to search for winword.exe, making sure that the search
includes "hidden and system files and folders." When you find it,
right-click and choose Create Shortcut. Windows will tell you it can't
create a shortcut in the Search Results window and ask if you want it on the
desktop. Say yes. You can then drag it anywhere you want.

It seems you have deleted it from the Start menu. To see if it is still
there, press Start, Run (or press Winkey+R) and type

winword

and press enter. If Word is still on your PC, it will start.
