Why doesn't my excel 97 macro work in later versions?

I have a macro that works fine in Excel 97 on an XP professional platform,
however when I try running it at home or elsewhere that is running a later
version of Excel, I get Error '5', Invalid call procedure. When I debug, the
VB editor highlights 'Application.Run' as the problem. the next line refers
to a sub procedure that is in a different module, but the same spreadsheet.
Any ideas??
