why doesn't outlook journal doesnot track all my work

One of my employees uses the journal function to track her work for billing
purposes. She tells me that recently the Journal Function in Outlook has not
included all letters she has done. She claims she has not turned off outlook
during the day which could make this happen. Any thoughts?
