I recently switched from Windows PC to Mac just within the last year, specifically because I was so sick & tired of all the problems with XP & Vista that I finally gave up. However, the one program I simply could not live without was Outlook. It was versatile and always worked the way it said it would, at least for me it did.
Now I've spent about the last 5 months with my MacBook Pro and it's like I've come home. I absolutely love it. The only thing I missed was...you guessed it; Outlook. So just imagine how excited I was to learn that not only could I transfer all of my important Microsoft docs such as powerpoint, exel and word, but I could also (presumably) have the same reliability as Outlook with the Mac version, Entourage!!!
((sigh)) There is no such thing as the best of both worlds.
Ever since I started using Entourage I've had nothing but problems with Junk E-mail and the calendar, to the point where I'm just about to give up, count my blessings, and try desperately not to get extremely angry about the money I spent on this software.
Non-junk goes into the junk folder, and nothing but crap gets through to my inbox. I've followed directions given by Diane Ross and other "MVPs", on other such forums, to the letter and the problems persist. Sometimes it's the same problem as before, and sometimes it's something new.
So I guess my real question is: Is this MS's way of getting back at me for leaving the fold? Or was I really just that stupid to think I could have the best of both worlds?
Also
Does anyone out there know of an email & project organization program that compares to Outlook, but is NOT a MS product for Mac?
Thanx bunches. --Gus--
