Why don`t avi files run ok in PP with Wvista but in XP it does?

hello I tryed to get avi-files from Ultrakardiogram work in PP in my new
computer with Windows vista but they run slowly. The same PP works well in a
computer with Windows XP, can some solve this problem ??
