Why Format not supported by Office Clipboard?

When I try to copy a row in Excel 2003, the status for the Office Clipboard
reads, "Item not Collected: Format not supported by Office Clipboard".

I have done the same types of copying and pasting from one worksheet to
another and from one workbook to another multiple times in the past without
any issues.

Any ideas why I am receiving this error now?
