I often need to copy an incoming email address, so I can delete them off an excel file when the unsubscribe.

For some reason Entourage includes annyoying brackets before and after the email address. why is this?

I know a way to copy the email without the brackets, but it takes five more keystrokes.

The brackets are part of standard E-mail address formatting. They allow
you to display a user friendly name such as "William Smith" along side
the email address.

thanks, don't get it though. Then there is nothing I can do? I will always get these and then have to delete them out? They produce bounces.

Can you give me step-by-step instructions for how to reproduce your
problem? I find that if I enter:

<[email protected]>

without a name then Entourage automatically removes the brackets.

I see that you are still using Entourage 2004. I am using Entourage 2008.
