Why have page numbers on bottom toolbar disappeared?

Why is it that sometimes the page numbers on the bottom toolbar disappear
and what can I do to get them to reappear?

Hi Swamp Fox/Andrew,

Are you referring to MS Word? Have you switched your view
to one that doesn't have 'page numbers' such as Web layout view?

I have the same problem as Andrew. I badly need to get these page
numbers back, as well as the language status which is next to it!

Hi Daniel,

You haven't provided any additional information to
go on. If the entire toolbar that shows the page
numbers is missing check the status of [x] Status Bar
in Tools=>Options=>View in Word.
