why i can not run excel2000 in windows XP?

hello, everyone

i have installed office2000 in windows XP correctly, but i
can not open it. after the splash window, there are nothing
displayed. please tell me why i met that mistake and how to
resolve it.

Anything at the taskbar ? Any sign of it in Ctrl Alt Del - Task manager ? It
may be running but pushed far off the screen if so.
