I have setup a Gmail account and enabled the IMAP interface. I added the new
account to my Outlook 2007. Outlook created a new PST file as expected. It
had a Gmail folder that contains the various sub-folders (All Mail, Drafts,
Sent Mail, Spam, Starred, & Trash) that are part of the Gmail account on the
server. There is also a Inbox folder that is separate from the Gmail
subfolders. It also ceated several additonal folders: Drafts, Junk E-mail,
and Sent Items.
When my Gmail account receives email, the new email is downloaded to the
Inbox folder, but it is also in the All Mail subfolder. If I happen to click
the item in the All mail subfolder, it download loads the item again and
while that download is occuring my Outlook session is hung. With IMAP I
thought one was suppose to be able to download headers only and choose what
part of a email to download (like download the body, but not the attachments,
etc.)
Thanks,
