Why is "export" greyed out in Access 2003

Hi,

I've just put together a basic query using the query wizard and I want
to export the result of the query to an excel file.

Only problem is that the "export" menu option is greyed out. This has
happened before but is also sometimes available.

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
