Some tips for this procedure:
1. You need to run the reset (i.e., reset.cmd) from the account which is
experiencing the problem.
2. Resetting requires elevated permissions, so the account from which you
are running the reset must be an Administrator. (You can switch it to
Administrator and switch back to Limited afterward.)
3. You should probably disable your security software when resetting,
otherwise your changes may not be allowed or survive a restart.
4. Don't forget to restart your computer after resetting permissions.
The 'errors' you are receiving likely refer to registry keys that won't
allow their permissions to be altered--typically these keys belong to your
security software, so you're glad they can't be altered in this way.
I don't know the exact procedures you used, so I can't offer any further
help.
You can include commands in reset.cmd that will output the results to a text
file. This way, you can search for errors that may or may not matter. You
should know that this will substantially increase the time needed for the
reset, and it will output a huge text file, in the vicinity of 500MB!
