Why is my classes folder designated a shortcut?

All of my folders are normal, but the classes one has a short cut symbol. I
know it's OCD of me, but it really bothers me. Can this be changed? How?

The shortcut icon appears on section files (*.ONE files) found outside of
the base "My Notebook" folder.

The presence of that icon doesn't effect how it operates. If you want to
get rid of the icon, close it from within OneNote, and then move the *.ONE
file into the "My Notebook" folder.
