Why is my linked picture size not kept in rtf document?

I link a logo into the header of a word document and make the logo the width
of the page. I then save the document as an rtf document. when I open the
saved document the logo has been reduced in size. what can I do to have the
logo maintain its size when the document is saved as an rtf document?

Open the logo in a graphic editor. Set the finished size you want, then set
the resolution *at that size* to 96 dpi.
