Why is my roman numeral page number switching to Arabic numbers?

I am trying to number my pages using roman numerals, and after a certain
number it switches back to arabic numbers, i.e., i, ii, iii, iv, v, vi, 7, 8,
9... Is this a bug? is there any way to get around it?

Hi Waltz

Go to page 7 and do View > Header and Footer. On the H&F toolbar, click the
"Format Page Number" button (it's the one with the hand). Now, choose the
appropriate Number format and click OK.

However, you may be able to avoid the problem. Page number formatting is a
property of a section. So you must have a section break before page 7. Do
you really need it? If not, delete it and then set the page number format
(as above) to suit your needs.

Hope this helps.
