Why is my Tools>Macros Delete box greyed out?

Following MS's WORD support help tells me to go to Tools>Macros and then I
can delete any macros I don't want. My Delete box is greyed out which means I
can't delete ANY macro. Why?

Macros in protected modules can't be deleted, but you should be able to
delete any macro you created. If there is a macro you can't delete, change
the "Macros in" setting to ascertain what template/add-in it's in; then you
can choose to unload/remove that template/add-in.

Okay...then how do I unprotect the module?

If the module belongs to an add-in, you likely won't be able to unprotect
it.
