Why is my Tools/Record Macro command disabled?

That is my simple question. I've tried playing w/ the macro security settings
to no avail. Can anyone help me. It should be a simple thing; I just don't
know what it is.

Probably no way anyone can help, if you can't offer more info than that.

Wild guess? Right-click on the menubar, select Customize, select "Menu Bar" in the
Tools tab, and press the Reset button.

Well, I just installed a new Normal.dot file from another machine and that
did the trick. I have no idea how this command became disabled in the other
file, but that's not my problem now!

I think the specific version of Word would've potentially helped the most, but I see
from your other post that it was something crudded up in the Normal.dot! Good to
hear you got it going.
