Why is my VB project in Word missing?

I have been developing a Visual Basic project using the Developer option in
Word 2007. I have always (and often) saved it to the same folder which I
have set as a trusted location. There has never been a problem with this.
Now, when I load my document, choosing the VB option under Developer on the
menu results in a project loading for the Normal template; there is no sign
of my project. The document is 117KB in size and there is nothing on the
page, only the underlying project. I would have thought from this that the
project is still intact, so why can't I access it?
There is a part of the code which drew shapes on the single page of the
document itself on loading. My last action before this problem arose was to
manually delete these shapes before saving and exiting. I have done this
before without problems.
The macro included in the project simply causes a user from to be shown.
This macro is shown if I choose macros from the Developer menu, with an
option to run, edit, etc. Clicking either of these options gives no result.

What was it that you were saving? And in what format were you saving it?
It would have to be either dotm or docm for any macros in it to be retained.

Hope this helps.

VB Project missing.

Thanks for your help. For information and anyone having a similar probelm,
this project was prepared in Word 2003, then saved in Word 2007 when I
upgraded. I copied it back to Word 2003 and it worked fine. I have now
saved it again as '.docm' in Word 2007.
So if you upgrade to Word 2007, make sure you change the file format if you
have macros.
