Why is new install asking for vba6.dll?

Hi Experts,

Got too stuck this time and had to reinstall W98SE + Office2000 (system
crash). Now each time I run Access it goes through an installation like
routine and opening a database returns "Missing vba6.dll"!!!!

Can anyone point me to the right direction please?

BTW forgot to tell that I have never used a reference to vba6.dll and Access
also returns an "File VBA6.DLL not found!" when attempting to compile code.

I'm kind of desperate...
