If you upgraded but didn't upgrade all components of your Office 2000
installation you may still need some Office 2000 updates. If you go to
Control Panel -> Add/Remove programs you may still see Office 2000 is
installed on your computer.

Thanks,
Ryan

If I upgraded, do I need to keep the Office 2000 Premium on my laptop? It
causes problems when I try to download Office 2003 updates.

Check in Add/Remove Programs in the Windows control panel to see if you have any 2000 series apps still installed. An Office 2003
upgrade will only remove programs that are replaced by Office 2003. Office 2003 does not include replacements for these MS Office
2000 series products within the Office 2003 product editions.

Depending on which Microsoft Office 2003 Edition you purchased you may also not have, in your Office pacakge

Powerpoint

If any of those is still installed you'll need to decide if you want to keep them and if you have an Office 2003 upgrade edition be
sure you keep the Office 2000 CDs, or other qualifying product (for the upgrade) in case you need to reinstall.
