I have assigned non working time (days) to a particular resource. During the
scheduling process, Project 2003 still schedules that resource on the non
working days

Hi,

Select View, Resource Usage and see if there is actually work assigned for
the days you have marked as non-working for the resource's calendar.

If the task straddles a non-working day(s) the bar will extend over them
even though they're not counted in the duration and work is not scheduled
for them. Example: I'm taking a personal day off on Wednesday - I'm
assigned a 4 day task beginning Monday - The task will show beginning
Monday, ending Friday, the Gantt Bar will start on Monday and run
continuously thru Friday, and the duration field will show 4 days (Wed
doesn't count in the duration).

If you have created a resource calendar that conflicts with other calendars,
it will take presedence over them.
