Why is the Treeview from MSComCtl.OCX not able to show Unicode?

I need to be able to present Unicode on a treeview.
If I use the Treeview from MSComCtl.OCX this does not work even if I do
enable it by setting the Unicode flag. It works fine with the Treeview from
ComCtl32.OCX except the tooltips that are presented in ANSI rather than
Unicode. Since the functionality of the Treeview from MSComCtl.OCX is more
sofisticated I would like to use this one.
Does anyone know how to activate Unicode Support in that Treeview properly?
