why is the unread message quantity wrong?

I'm using Outlook 2007. When we receive new email, there will display the
quantity of unread messages in the INBOX. There is a fold named UNREAD in
FAVORITE. It usually display how many unread message there are. But
sometimes, it display a different number with INBOX. I don't know what's
wrong. There is no unread emails outside INBOX. Who can explain this problem?

It's a bug in Outlook that search folders (your unread mail folder)
sometimes don't show the correct count. Nothing you can really do about
fixing it.

Patrick, thanks for your reply. That means I can do nothing but waiting for
the service pack.
