Why is there a black line when I type?

Hi folks,

I got some strange problem whenever I start to type and when I hit the enter key or space bar in MS Word. When I start to type the whole row (right to left) becomes black as if I'm selecting the whole line. If I hit enter, the next line will become black and so on.

It's not the background fill and doesn't have anything to do with the font or background. Any ideas, I'm totally out.
