Why is there a Security Alert Options button up top for each db?

Hi

I got Access 2007, when I use or create a simple database without any
macros, just tables and queries, I get the following whenever I open the
database:

An options button up top..which I click on and then it says Security
Alert...VBA macro...so I click Enable Contents just to make more room on the
screen...yet if I ignore it it doesnt restrict me at all.

why is it there? is it a standard thing in Access?? Can I just ignore it?

thank you very much

Unless you have reason to believe that there may be a virus or malicious
code on your computer, you can simply ignore the warnings. They exist
because Microsoft is concerned that you are aware of the fact that there are
"bad guys" out there.

If you use the Office button on the upper left corner, you can create a
Trusted Location and set everything that you want to use in that folder. The
security prompts will stop.
