Why is this footer wider than the right tab setting?

Never mind - found it - ptab instead of tab.

In the file http://www.windwardreports.com/temp/footer.zip -
footer1.docx has the footer much wider than the tab setting.
footer2.docx appears to be correct.

But I can't find any difference between them. Any idea?

thanks - dave

Hello Dave,

We can set the positioned tab in Word by,

1.Navigate to Home tab->Paragraph tab.
2.In the Paragraph tab, at the right bottom coner, click the little arrow
button.
3.In the pop up box, at the left bottom, click the Tabs... button
4.In the pop up box, we can configure the tab position in the Default tab
stops editbox.

Hope this helps! :)

Have a nice weekend!

Hi;

I did that - but it creates a <w:tab> not a <w:ptab>. This is not a
critical issue, but I am curious as to how you place a positioned tab
in a doc - I didn't even know these existed.

thanks - dave
