Why is Word correcting in Spanish

I have one document that Word 2007 wants to correct grammar and spelling in
Spanish. It looks like english to me. Why does work think it's Spanish?

Because you have the language option set to automatically detect the
language and the text in question is formatted with the Spanish language
parameter.
Select the document content and apply the language you want to check with.
