Why my Outlook appears disconnected?

I have Windows XP with the SP2 installed and Outlook 2003.

With no reason apparent (no new software intalled, no change in the
configuration on the notebook, etc.) my Outlook appears as Disconnected.

Every now and then the condition change and Download all my email and 2 or 3
days working normal it disconnect again.

I will appreaciated all the help I can get.

How often do you have the program poll the server for messages. I have mine
set for 10 minutes.

Have you inadvertently clicked on Work Offline on the File drop down menu?

Exchange server? Is this using a wired or wireless connection? I haven't
solved it yet, but mine does it frequently too - I suspect one of the
windows updates causes problems with the wireless connection. some times I
can fix it by repairing or disabling/enabling the wireless nic, but most of
the time I need to reboot or go wired.
