why requested CD for office update when selected large fil option

hi, I tried updating office 2003 on my xp machine. I used the option: 'Use
larger update files that should not require access to my product CD or
network installation location ', but on step 2 it asked me to put 'microsoft
office 2000 SR-1 premioum disk'

Hi, Gidi,

Because Office 2000 is a different product that is being updated. Office
2003 probably doesn't require the CD for updates, but Office 2000 often
does.

If you no longer want the Office 2000 components on your system, use the
Control Panel's Add/Remove Programs applet to uninstall them. Otherwise,
provide the original installation CD when prompted to update your Office
2000 components.
