Why the dotted lines

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: Power PC

I have a workbook with three worksheets. In first two worksheets I do not see dotted lines anywhere. Yet I added a third worksheet and it pops up new with dotted lines al over. Why do I not see dotted line in first two? thanks.

The dotted lines could be to indicate where the pages break should you
print the document. I don't know why they show straight away in one
spreadsheet, but not in the other.
