Why the duration is changed into tasks when add resources ?

when the project manager open the project in project professional and add
different resources into tasks then the project duration is changed at once.

why it is happening ?

You have effort driven on. Effort driven means that when an extra resource
is assigned, all resource share the original wok, so duration reduces. With
effort driven off this does not happen.

Click Windows. Split and the Effort Driven flag can be seen. Under Tools,
Options you can set effort driven off as a default.
