Why the yield sign with the exclamation point in the address?

Email Client: pop

I changed the capital letters in the email address and it gave me the yield sign with an exclamation point inside. Now it won't let me send the email. HELP!

Just changing capitalization won't invalidate an email address. Check for
spaces or other illegal characters like commas. Re-type the address from
scratch if you need to.

By the way, it is unlikely that any email address in the modern Internet is
case sensitive.
