Hey, I won't bother to dissuade you - it looks like you've really had some
poor experiences with Office 2008. There were some significant changes this
version, some definitely unwelcome.
But you're not going to get much sympathy here, I'm afraid. This is a
newsgroup for people who are having actual problems with Office 2008 and
need help on specific issues. People volunteer their time to help other
people out. You can feel free to complain here, but it's not going to get
you any brownie points. If you just hated the product and want to ditch it,
go for it - but since you did apparently invest in getting the product,
we're here to help you fix what's broke (sic) and at least make your visit
worthwhile. Just complaining to the newsgroup might make you feel good, but
it's a waste of your time.
So, if there's something in particular you're having trouble with that gives
you the feeling that Office 2008 for Mac is the worst thing ever, let us
know how we can help you. Or if you have specific comments, why not send
your feedback directly to Microsoft? This PPT newsgroup isn't necessarily
monitored by Microsoft - the MVPs frequent the posts, and the product
testers come round every so often, but I don't think that MS actively
monitors the group for new product requests or feedback. Send your requests
to Microsoft through the Help > Send Feedback link for each office product.
