Why use Tasks instead of Calendar events?

I keep Tasks for every day, but it's killing me that my office machine's
Entourage isn't syncing my tasks up to the Exchange server (so that they can
be copied onto my PDA and home Entourage Mac). It occurred to me though that
maybe I should forget the Tasks and just set Calendar items (which do sync
properly)? What's the difference between Tasks and Calendar items - what
makes Tasks special?

Hi Mike!

Calendar events are for a specific date at a specific time. Tasks remain
on your To Do list until completed.

Tasks can be started and completed on specific days but no specific
time. Also, they can be prioritized by urgency and status regardless of
date. Tasks don't drop off until you clear them whereas if you don't
move an event on your Calendar then you can overlook it later.

Please be sure to let Microsoft know you'd like to see task support for
Entourage with Exchange in future versions by using the Help --> Send
Feedback mechanism in any Office application.

FYI, the microsoft.public.office.mac.entourage newsgroup has been
deprecated and replaced with microsoft.public.mac.office.entourage. Be
sure to post any questions just in that group.

Hope this helps!
