In short (as you are in the wrong newsgroup);
If your one and only domain controller fails you'll loose your entire domain
and has to be rebuild from scratch. This includes user accounts, computer
account (they have to be rejoined to the new domain) and when you are
running Exchange you'll have to reinstall that too as it extends the AD
schema.
