WHY WON'T ENTOURAGE WAKE AFTER SLEEP?

Hi - I am using Entourage 2004 11.3.2 (061213) on a PowerBook g4
running OSX 10.4.8.

For around a year now I find that when I wake my computer from sleep,
Entourage hangs and is totally unresponsive for up to 10 minutes. I
often have to force quit and restart the program to use it.

I have tried turning off spotlight etc, as suggested by other posts in
this forum, but it doesn't work. I hoped the update a couple of days
ago might fix it, but no luck...

Does anyone else still have this problem, and can anyone shed light on
what might cause it?

10 minutes sounds a long time. I often get hangups of about a minute which
have proved rather intractable. I suspect these are network timeouts
somewhere along the line.

While these hangups are occurring, it may be worth firing up 'activity
monitor' (it's in your 'utilities' folder) and seeing if it's Entourage
that's hung up or the Microsoft Database Daemon.
