We don't know as you have supplied absolutely no information.

Could be:

Bad DVD drive or no DVD drive
Wrong operating system (requires Windows XP SP2 or newer)
Not enough hard drive space.
Incorrect license key
No license key
And many, many more reasons.

Now, tell us about your computer (make, model, hard drive space free,
operating system and service pack level, amount of memory, etc.,) the source
of the Office 2007 program suite you are trying to install (DVD or download)
and what version of Office (Small Business, Pro, Ultimate, etc.)

What happens when you attempt to install?

I have a similar problem. The install begins but quits with a message saying
"an error has been encountered." I am running Windows XP with SP1&2 on a Dell
Inspiron 6000. 1.24 GB of RAM. I have tried installing the free demo version
and from a dvd with a license #. Same result.

I am having the same problem and am totally frustrated. I am running windows
vista. I am trying to installoffice enterprise 2007. I am installing it on
a Toshiba Satellite Laptop. It came with a trial office and have now
uninstalled that thinking that was the problem and I still can't get it to
install. The error message it gives me is:

Error 1935. An error occurred during the installation of assembly
component {837Bf1EB-D770-94EB-A01F-C8B389A1E18E} HRESUT: OX800700C1

Can someone help me please?!

Google is your friend.

Didn't work. First I have windows Vista (64bit), so it is SP1 I need. that
didn't work either. At this point I am so totally frustrated and pissed off
at microsoft. How is it that I can buy a new computer with microsoft office
on it as a trail, purchase another micrsoft office DVD, uninstall the trail
version and can't get it to install what I have purchased from this company.
It is totally ridiculous. I have now spent hours trying to get something to
work that should have been straight forward and am no further ahead. I am
not a techy. I am an average person with slightly better than average
computer skills. But I am smart enough to start questioning microsofts
product as nothing more than junk!

I'm like you...no techie. But I know there is a Microsoft help line,
especially for things you have purchased. Call them.
