Since you did not specify how you are getting to your email, I am assuming
you are using "POP/SMTP" as the vehicle. It could be something so simple as
the Hotel's Internet provider is blocking port 25 back to your current
providers SMTP host. Many Internet providers these days is blocking port 25
and insist that you use their SMTP server instead as the vehicle to send
emails out. You may want to check with hughes.net to see if they have
enabled another port (i.e. 725 or whatever) that essentially will get around
the port 25 blocking or ask the Hotel (and thus their provider) which SMTP
host they require you to use instead when you are using the Hotel's Internet
Connection. If they require you to use their SMTP host, you will have to
edit your profile accordingly and as necessary. Another hick-up is that many
providers will only allow access to their SMTP server if you are
authenticated - or in some cases, only if you connect directly to their
network (to avoid email relays).
