Why won't Publisher let me use my OMR bubble font?

C

CD@tfc

I am creating scanable forms to use with an OMR program. The program comes
with an OMR bubble font (i.e. bubbles with little letters or numbers in
them). The font is installed on my computer and every other program seems to
have no problem using it but when I try to use it in publisher in a text box
the text simply reverts to some other font (normally Times New Roman). I
really would like the design capability of publisher but if it won't use my
font it will be a real drag.

When does it revert to another font? After exiting the text bos, after
printing, etc?

C

CD@tfc

The font face never changes to the OMR font. I highlight the text and select
the OMR font from the drop-down window but as soon as I select the OMR font
the font list says Times New Roman and the text stays the same. I tried
turnning off the text style overide but it did not seem to have any effect.

You need to ask Gravic why the font doesn't work with Office.

But the font does work in office. I used it in Word and it worked just fine.
I can use it in Outlook and Excel. I would guess that if there was some
reason to do so I could probably use it in Access but Publisher won't use the
font

I went back to the Gravic web site and downloaded the .ttf version of the
OMRBubble font. It didn't work for me either in Publisher. There are two
different Bubble fonts on the site, I downloaded the first.

The font does work in WordArt.

You go to the format publication menu> font scheme > create new font scheme from there you can select what ever font you want to use

Create the bubble font text in Word then try a Copy from Word to a Paste to
Publisher.
If already attempted, please excuse the note.
