Why won't spell checker work on some desktops?

My Word works fine on my desktop, but not on my husband's or daughters. The
spell checker won't work on theirs. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it
twice with the same results.

Select the entire document and go to Tools | Language | Set Language. Make
sure that the correct language is selected and that "Do not check spelling
and grammar" is not checked. Also check the settings on the Spelling &
Grammar tab of Tools | Options to make sure that spell checking is enabled.

Log into the workstation as the ADMINISTRATOR, reinstall Office. Everything
should then be available to all users.

I don't want my husband and daughter signed on as administrators. Do you I
have leave them as administrators? Word spell checker used to work on both
desktops. Do I have to sign both of them on as administrators and install
office in both places?

That's not what Terry said. You install Word *once* as administrator, and it
will then be available (in all its parts) to all user profiles, regardless
of what permissions they have.
