Why would the system tell me that a word doc is not available

I cannot access word files. When I do try the system tells me that it is not
available. Even when I save a new file, I cannot retrieve it. Any ideas?

I am getting this same error message. It seems that all of the Office
products are having problems opening files. I have tried uninstalling,
rebooting, and reinstalling. I created a new user and tried saving a
document with the new user and still the same problem. I deleted the
normal.dot file under c:\Documents & Settings\<user name>\Application
Data\Microsoft\Templates (think this is the path, can't remember of the top
of my head). Still no luck. Hope someone has an answer.

Thanks
Barry
