I have a problem with Outlook 2007 opening large messages. I am running a
fully patched Outlook 2007 installation on Windows XP SP2 connecting to an
Exchange 2007 server. Every time I attempt to open a 840KB message
(consisting only of text) that I receive daily, Outlook hangs for 10+
minutes. During this, it uses 100% of the processor.
I have experienced this while running Outlook in Safe Mode. I have disabled
SAV scanning of Exchange email without result. I have also seen this with
numerous users in my organization. This is not a problem when opening the
same message in my mailbox from Outlook 2003 or webmail.
Creating a new profile (without cached exchange enabled) creates the same
situation. Any help appreciated.
