Widescreen monitor and squashy photos

I just bought a widescreen monitor and love it except for how my photos
appear in Microsoft Office Picture Manager. The photos are two wide and
appear squashed. How can I fix this? I am sure there is some adjustment I
can make somewhere but I have no idea where or how? Can someone help me,
please?

Really sounds like a Windows problem, not Office.

Check that you have your screen resolution set properly for the widescreen -
ratio should be 16:10 or 16:9 or thereabouts. Your previous standard screen
had a 4:3 ratio.

You may have to update driver for your video card, or install driver from
the display manufacturer.
