Widows 7 and Office 2007

Greiggsy

I have Windows 7 Ultimate 65 bit and Office 2007. I have a USB drive which I
save letters to for different people. I now find that when I plug in an
extension drive it won't let me save to that drive saying" You do not have
permission to save to this location. Contact the administrato to obtain
permission. would you like to save to My Documents instead?
if I save to My Docs I can then send it to the USB drive.
I am the only one using this computer and am signed in as dministrator.
Can anyone help?.

Be grateful. Saving to removable drives is one of the top three causes of
document corruption.

I don't know the cause of the error message, but note that saving directly
to removable media is never a good idea, because it leads to corrupt
documents.
