Width of text in window

Hi

My text in the window of an email letter is about five inches wide.
When I enlarge the Entourage window to the right by pulling on the lower
right hand corner, filling the screen, the text stays on the left hand side
of the window. I would like to be able to write an email on an email window
using the entire width of my iBook screen, the way I can using word.
Is this possible and if so, what do I have to do?

Hi Rafael,

in plain text messages, Entourage breaks the text after 76 characters
(unless you're quoting); this value is fixed and cannot be changed. If you
want your text to stretch across the entire screen, you will have to use
HTML formatting by clicking on the red/blue "abab" button on the left side
of the formatting toolbar. You can set Entourage to use HTML by default
(Entourage>Preferences, Mail & News Preferences, Compose), but some people
do not like receiving HTML emails, so it's not really recommended.

What would be far, far better would be for Entourage to support the use of
Format Flowed. This is a way of interpreti9ng plain text emails to have the
results of having paragraphs re-flowing with window width. Entourage is one
of very few modern email clients that do not use format flowed.

Please add your voice to the clamour of those who want it by using the 'send
feedback' link in the Entourage Help menu - the more people who ask for this
feature, the more likely we are to get it.

OK. I would like to use HTML all the time, and at the beginning I did.
When I want to make a point, I want to italicize. But I found out that most
people don't use it or don't even know what it is, so I only use plain text
now.
