Wierd page numbers w/ SSL protection

I am not able to use the SSL protection feature without
getting wierd page numbers in 30 page documents with a
TOC. When I unprotect the document the page numbers
appear correctly. When I protect the document all the
page numbers revert to page 1. I have experimented with
different document formats but always get same. I am not
able to find a solution. Using Word 2003 Beta 11.
