I thought the red squiggles were spelling and green were grammar; and in
Word 2007, blue are contextual spelling errors.

If OP is getting red squiggle all the time, then it sounds like a language
setting problem

I get them confused so I opened a doc in Word 203. I got red squiggles on a
fragmented sentence and green on a shortened word (rej).

Very weird... in Word 2003 and 2007--I get just the opposite coloring--red
for spelling, and green for grammar.
