Wild Card Search for Roman Numerals

Is there a way to use wildcards in Find/Replace to find roman numerals, such
as I, II, III, IV, etc., or lower case as in i, ii, ii, iv etc.?

Try "<[CDILMVXcdilmvx]{1,}>" (without the quotes)

If you want only upper case or only lower case I'm sure you can adapt it.

Thanks. (Why didn't I think of that?) I think this search would find each
instance of any of those characters, whether used alphabetically or as Roman
Numerals. But since I am really looking at documents using these for
numbering purposes (in regulations) I can figure out how to narrow it down
in context.

Have you tried it? It should work unless you use a lot of unusual acronymns.
Don't forget the pointy brackets!
